So let’s begin –
Grease Stains – While riding a cycle or working in your workshop, it is very common to walk away with grease stains on your clothes. Grease being a thick substance becomes, even more hard to clean. So, if you have got grease stains, then try to wash it off with cold water immediately. Apply a dish soap to ease off the oils and proteins. Make sure that the soap contains Hydrogen Peroxide that helps remove grease stains instantly. Apply and rub a detergent directly on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
Red Wine – Nice to smell and good to taste but can leave a nasty stain if spilled in haste! In order to remove that red wine stain before it permanently ruins your beautiful dress or carpet, try to cover the stain with a considerable amount of salt as soon as possible. The salt should begin to absorb the colour, turning it salt pink. Then soak your garment or fabric in cold water along with an enzyme detergent containing ammonia and allow it to soak overnight. If you can’t get home to wash your clothing right away, try treating it with a stain remover that you can carry on the go.
Oil Stains – Easy to get, oil stains must be blotted away with a dry paper towel. Try to get as much oil out from the clothing or fabric as possible. Cover grease or oil stain generously with some baby powder. You can use general baby powder if you like, otherwise try using cornstarch or salt. Let the powder sit, and then remove it with a spoon. Now apply a mixture of dishwashing detergent and water on the stain to make foam. Be sure to tackle the stain from both sides of the fabric. Now run the fabric through its normal washing cycle, and the oil stain will be gone!
Bloodstains – Unless you wish to preserve a blood sample on your clothing, you can follow these tips to remove that blood stain. Rinse your garment or fabric immediately in cold water. Make sure that you have removed all excess blood. Once the stain is a bit light, make a mixture of salt and water and rub it with a toothbrush on the stain. You can also use Hydrogen Peroxide solution on the stain; just use a diluted mixture for delicate clothes and repeat rubbing with a toothbrush. Follow the standard laundry rinsing process afterwards. Just do not dry the clothes in bright sunlight as it might set the stain in.
Soft Drink Stains – These stains are very common and can easily find their place in our car or carpets, especially during a party. So if you are not willing to let that stain set in then follow these steps. Immediately try to blot away the excess coke or Fanta by using a dry sheet or paper. Determine the carpeting materials so that you can choose the cleaning agent accordingly. Prepare a detergent or vinegar solution by mixing it up in water. Apply it on the stained area and pat gently. You will see the stain coming off. Now place the cloth with the solution and press it on the carpet. Keep it there till the stain is not visible.
Chocolate Stains – Everyone loves eating chocolate, but no one is fond of removing its stains. So here it is, if you have a chocolate stain the first thing to do is to freeze it. Yes, freezing the garment will make the chocolate hard again and you will be easily able to scrape it off with the help of a knife. The next step is to massage the stain with your detergent or cleaning solution. Once the stain is a bit faint, rinse it with water and make sure to follow the specific washing instructions written on the label of your garment. Your stains will be gone!
So cleaning these small spots can be easy enough if done immediately and properly.
